A group, Advocate For Integrity and Transparency (AIT) has described
the elevation of the Commander of Oyo State unit of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Mr. Sola Aremu to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) has a right recompense of his gallantry.

The coordinator of the human right group, Barr. Olalekan Adebayo in a release issued and made available to newsmen in Ibadan stated that the body has been secretly monitoring the activities of the Oyo SARS boss .and they can single him out as a dignified law enforcement officer that carried out his duties with fear of God.
“We decided to place watch on the activities of SARS operatives after the public complaints and agitations against the activities of SARS men in the country and we discovered that, some are diligent and very professional in their approach to members of the public.

“The commander of Oyo State Special Anti Robbery Squad, Sola Aremu is quite diligent to his duties and dealt with people with fear of God, this we believed has helped him to record many ground breaking successes in bursting crimes”, the statement reads.
“We would like to join others in congratulating CSP Aremu on his well
deserved promotion, and would urge other men of SARS operatives that always indulged in habits of intimidating and brutalizing unsuspected members of the public to desist from such acts of face the wrath of the law”, the group added.
