A socio-political group OYO DEVELOPMENT GROUP has called on a former governor of the state to desist from associating with those they described as enemies of the people working against the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

The Group in a statement issued in Ibadan and signed by its Secretary General, Salisu Kareem described High Chief Ladoja as an elder statesman who has earned the respect of people in Oyo State over a long period of time.

“It is therefore surprising and extremely disappointing to see Papa Ladoja seating with the people who colluded and removed him as Governor and who are hell bent on putting Oyo State on the reverse gear by working against the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde”.

The Group described Governor Seyi Makinde as a lover of the masses who has been conducting government affairs with a human face. “ Governor Makinde has transformed Oyo State by his efforts in the areas of infrastructural development, workers welfare, educational development and the general expansion of the economy of Oyo State. He’s the Governor the people want and should be supported to win his re-election. Anyone working against him or/and his re-election is an enemy of the people and we do not expect Papa Ladoja to be mixing with such elements “ the group added.
