A group within African Democratic Congress (ADC)has condemned in strong terms the statement credited to the Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress( APC) where ADC coalition was described as unholy one which is bound to fail.
In a swift reaction the secretary of the forum, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun through a release in Ibadan at the weekend describing it as ‘living in a fools paradise ‘ daydreaming and hoodwinking in the dark, as the coalition has come to stay so as to uproot all forms of autocracy , executive arrogance and impunity . while the coalition will be beacon of hope to-restore true democratic virtues in the state so as to propel good governance which people of Oyo State are yearning for.
While carpeting the leaders of the coalition Koleoso,Ladoja, Adebisi, the All Progressives Congress APC , Oyo State chapter was either mischievous or their knowledge in history need be subjected to analytical questioning.
‘The trio had contributed one way or the other to their paymaster, governor Ajimobi’s success history either to become the senator or the governor. While Koleoso , Adebisi and Lam Adesina were instrumental to his actualizing his dreams in 2003 and 2011.
“Ladoja’s efforts in Ajimobi’s self acclaimed victory in 2007 is still fresh in the discerning minds of people in the state and beyond. If the coalition did not fail in 2007 when Ajimobi left Action Congress because he couldn’t pick gubernatorial ticket of the party for the unknown All Nigerian Peoples Party, ANPP with the support of Chief Adewolu Ladoja, then why crying wolf when they are being chased by their shadows. The day of reckoning is drawing nearer with 2019 elections “
Olatubosun then called on people of the state to disregard the statement in its entirety. Chief Koleoso, Dr Busari Adebisi and High chief Adewolu Ladoja who were former secretaries to the State government and former governor respectively are people of proven integrity with track records .
Unity forum then call people in the state to stand up for their rights by joining hands with the best hands with better political pedigree who come together under ADC with the aim of putting an end to political grandstanding and executive arrogance in the state and better the lots of the good people of Oyo state.
