Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke Adelekan Idowu Basibo, the Alaperu of Iperu-Remo, describing his death as a great loss to Iperu, Remoland, and the entire state.

In a heartfelt tribute, Governor Abiodun hailed the late monarch as a father to all, a unifier, and a true embodiment of leadership and service, whose reign brought peace, unity, and progress to his people.

“Today, Iperu Akesan, Remoland, and indeed Ogun State have lost not just a revered monarch but a guiding light and a bridge between our proud heritage and the promise of a greater future,” he said.

He noted that Oba Basibo’s dedication to the development of his people was unwavering, making him a beacon of hope and a pillar of wisdom whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
