The final funeral rites of Madam Muinat Ogundele (née Alabi), the late matriarch of the Ogundele family, will be concluded on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Olubadan Estate Field, Old Ife Road, opposite Gbagi Market, Ibadan.

Madam Ogundele, who passed away on November 26, 2024, was laid to rest the following day in accordance with Islamic rites. She is survived by her husband, Alhaji Ogundele, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bolaji Ogundele, a prominent journalist with The Nation newspaper and son of the deceased, described his late mother as a “jewel of inestimable value” whose life was dedicated to the well-being of others. “She was a very passionate mother whose wise counsel and deep compassion will be sorely missed,” he said.

Family, friends, and well-wishers are expected to gather at the ceremony to pay their final respects to Madam Ogundele, whose life touched many in her community.
