The organizing committee of Justice Afolabi Adeniran, former chief Judge of Oyo state and the immediate past President of Ogbomoso Parapo Worldwide, has announced the programme of events for his burial, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, September 23, to Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Ibadan and Ogbomoso.
According to the released schedule, activities will commence on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with a special court session at High Court 1, Ring Road, Ibadan, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, a memorial lecture, cultural displays, and Ewi rendition will be held at LAUTECH Hall, Ogbomoso, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The lecture will be delivered by Chief Akin Onigbinde (SAN), after which cultural troupes and poet Oluwatana will perform.
A memorial golf tournament will follow on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Recreation Club, Ogbomoso, with tee-off at 7:30 a.m. The event is expected to round off between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
On Friday, September 26, 2025, a Service of Songs and Wake-Keep will take place at Masifa Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, starting at 5:00 p.m. This will be followed by a Lying-in-State and Night of Tributes at his residence, located at the College of Health Sciences Area, Ogbomoso, from 8:00 p.m. till dawn.
The final burial rites will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, beginning with a funeral service at Masifa Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. A grand reception and entertainment of guests will then hold at the Viva Events Center, along Iresa-Apa Road, Ogbomoso, starting at 1:30 p.m.
Justice Adeniran, fondly remembered as a fountain of justice, a man of integrity, and a community leader, will be celebrated by family, friends, colleagues, and associates, who are invited to join in honoring his enduring legacy.
