The Zonal Commanding Officer, RS11 Headquarters of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Joseph W. Toby, MLC, FISPON, JP, has commended the Osun State Sector Command for its impressive operational performance, stakeholder collaborations, and commitment to reducing road traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities across the state.
ACM Toby gave the commendation during a monitoring visit to the RS11.1 Osun Sector Command in Osogbo on Thursday, October 23, 2025, as part of his supervisory and administrative oversight functions.
The visit featured operational inspection, welfare evaluation, and motivational sessions with Officers, Marshals, and Special Marshals under the Command, aimed at enhancing efficiency, compliance with operational standards, and improved service delivery.
During a briefing session, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Leye Adegboyega, fsi, presented an overview of the Command’s structure, personnel strength, logistics availability, and strategies for achieving crash reduction. He also outlined the Command’s achievements in operations, public enlightenment campaigns, stakeholder partnerships, staff welfare, and ongoing projects, while drawing attention to existing challenges.
In his remarks, ACM Toby praised the leadership and operational innovations of the Command, describing them as instrumental to its progress and effectiveness. He also commended the Command’s partners and stakeholders for their continued support, especially in donating operational tools and resources.
“I appreciate the stakeholders for their magnanimity and partnership with the FRSC. Road safety is a shared responsibility that requires the participation of everyone. I urge you all not to relent in this collective effort,” he said.
The Zonal Commanding Officer further urged officers and marshals in Osun State to sustain the current level of operational excellence, especially as the Command intensifies its activities for the 2025 Ember Months safety campaign and end-of-year traffic management operations.
“You must maintain your discipline, commitment, and operational drive to ensure safer roads and prevent avoidable crashes during this critical period,” ACM Toby charged.
The visit, which was described as successful, reaffirmed the FRSC’s dedication to continuous supervision, personnel motivation, and strategic collaboration toward achieving its national mandate of reducing road crashes and promoting safety on Nigerian highways.
