The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun State Sector Command, has received various operational and rescue equipment from its partners and stakeholders as part of efforts to enhance road safety and improve operational efficiency across the state.
The donations, presented during the 2025 Town Hall Meeting with Stakeholders and Ember Months Road Safety Campaign Flag-Off held at ADOLAK International Hotel & Suites, Osogbo, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, were described as the fruits of strategic partnerships aimed at promoting safer roads in Osun State.
Speaking at the event, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Leye Adegboyega (fsi), expressed profound appreciation to the donors on behalf of the Corps Marshal, FRSC Management, and staff of the Osun Sector Command. He noted that the gesture was timely and significant, as the equipment would enhance personnel safety, improve rescue operations, and motivate field officers for better performance.
Adegboyega emphasized that such collaborations reinforce the Corps’ capacity to deliver on its mandate, especially in ensuring prompt evacuation and stabilization of traffic crash victims, as well as protecting personnel working in harsh weather conditions.
The event featured goodwill messages from the donors, who commended the FRSC for its professionalism and dedication to ensuring safer roads nationwide. They described their support as a patriotic contribution to national development and praised the leadership style of the Sector Commander, which they said inspired their contributions.
Six organizations made donations as follows:
DIPSON Plastics & Recycling Plant, Osogbo – 100 reflective jackets, 100 pairs of hand gloves
Benade Commercial Enterprises Nig. Ltd, Ile-Ife – 100 reflective jackets, 50 pairs of hand gloves
National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Lokoja – 20 stretchers, 20 fully equipped first aid bags
John-MBA Steel Global Concept, Osogbo – 100 pairs of hand gloves
Truck Quarry Drivers Owners Association, Osogbo – 30 pairs of hand gloves
Armstrong Paints Ltd., Osogbo – 50 reflective jackets
The equipment were formally received on behalf of the state by His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun State and Patron of the Osun State Special Marshals, represented by His Excellency, Prince Kola Adewusi, the Deputy Governor.
Also in attendance was the Royal Father of the Day, His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, represented by Oba Kehinde Oyebade Oyeleye, the Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa.
The Sector Command lauded the benefactors for their generosity, describing their actions as noble examples of corporate citizenship and social responsibility. The FRSC assured that all donated items would be judiciously deployed to promote road safety and save lives across Osun State.
