The rescue Operation for the crashed Trailer which involved the ’15 Male Adults’ took FRSC Seven (7) hours. This was due to the fact that some of the victims were trapped with goods (drums of chemicals) hence, making it difficult to have them easily evacuated below the fallen drums, when the crash occured’ Adeyemo stated.

Femi Adeyemo iterated that ‘Road Traffic Crashes are avoidable, and a crash free environment is possible with compliance to traffic rules and regulations. He further emphasized the aggressive agitation of the Command, RS11.312 Oolo, kicking against overloading of vehicles with goods and passengers.

It would be recalled that the Ag. Unit Commander, Femi Adeyemo recently led the Command’s staff to Ajawa Town for a road safety campaign; an initiative described as an Operational strategy by FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed mni, FCA, FCTA, CPTA.

This further shows the Command’s commitment on road safety advocacy and general safety for transport leaders, youths, market stakeholders and other categories of road users.

Femi Adeyemo who appreciated FRSC Oyo State Sector Commander, CC RUK Alo for her all time support and guidance during various road safety operations in the state, also assured motorists of free flow of traffic along Oyo – Ogbomoso road. ‘The recent road rehabilitation along the road coupled with the line up initiatives of the Command would aid in smoother movement’ he added.

Highlighting Goal 1 of the ‘Corps Corporate Strategic Goal for the year 2025, Adeyemo pointed that, most fatal crashes recorded within the Command’s Jurisdiction were due to common traffic infractions. He thereafter urged drivers to change their attitudes against road safety tips and uphold defensive driving techniques in the course of their interaction with the road.
