Former Super Eagles player, Joseph Akpala, has been appointed assistant coach of Belgian Pro League club, KV Korjrik.
KV Korjrik announced his appointment on their official website on Friday.
“KV Korjrik expands the technical staff with Jimmy Hempte and Joseph Akpala. They join Adnan Custovic’s staff and start working as assistant coaches,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
Akpala is returning to familiar territory having started his professional career in Belgium with Sporting Charleroi in 2008.
The 36-year-old former striker was top scorer in Belgium with 18 goals in 2018.
The former Nigeria international also played for Club Brugge and KV Oostende.
