Fit Youngsters Sports Academy will,on Saturday, November 25, begin the Under 15 five- aside end of the year football Competition in Ikorodu.
No fewer than 16 teams will be playing at the preliminary stage of the competition to be held at Fit Youngsters Training pitch,Love Estate, Mowokekere,in Ikorodu, while the Semis and the Finals will be played on Saturday December 16 at the Fun Factory,Itamaga, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The 16 teams competing at the competition are the Fit Youngsters SA,Alimi Skills FA,Shinning Light FA, R25 Academy,Primhous FA, Youngstar FA,Yomaraz FA,Danny K FA,Better Tomorrow, Victory Ones FA, Trojan FA, Circle Range FA,Vino Gano FA,Edunz FA,Sharon FA and Lofty Skills SA among others.
Speaking on the annual football competition,the Sports Director of Fit Youngsters Sports Academy, Mr.Alimi Adekunle said the competition is the 5th edition organized by the sports academy, adding that the reason for the football competition is to discover young talents in the state and also promote sports in Ikorodu and its environs.
Adekunle maintained also that the under- 15- five- aside football competition will positively impact the lives of the young footballers and bring out the best in them.
” As far as we are concerned,every arrangement has been concluded for the football competition coming up this Saturday, November 25 and we are coming up with a standard that is very unique this year and it will be different from what we have been doing in the previous editions.
“I believe residents of Ikorodu will be happy that such competition is holding in the town”,he posited.
Mr. Alimi stated further that the winning team of this year’s edition will go home with cash gifts, medals, as well as academic scholarship for the players.
