A massive fire on Friday evening, August 15, 2025, gutted the head office of Fresh FM Nigeria at Challenge, Ibadan.

In a statement, the station’s Group Head of Corporate Affairs, Samson Akindele, said the inferno destroyed the studios of Fresh 105.9 and Blast 98.3, the newsroom, transmitter/server room, and several equipment.

He explained that efforts to control the blaze with in-house fire extinguishers were unsuccessful before the arrival of professional firefighters. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, while the extent of the damage remains unknown.

The management appreciated residents, passersby, and officials of the Oyo State Fire Service for their swift intervention during the emergency.
