Fire Guts Ogbomoso Market

No fewer than 30 shops with goods worth hundreds of million of Naira was on tuesday evening razed by fire at Popular Akande Market in Ogbomoso

The incident which started around 7 pm affected virtually all the shops occupied the traders.

A victim whose shop was involved told our reporter on phone that the state fire fire were not around to rescue the situation

According to him  “immediately the incident started, calls were put through to them but there was no positive response base on logistic”

” If they had come earlier , the damages wouldn’t be this much because the fire wouldn’t spread to where it gets to but you know its harmattan , everything is dry”

The cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained as at the time of fling this report but several sympathizers are still at the scene lamenting and pleading with government to assist the traders.
