The  three month’s tenure of the caretaker chairmen of local governments and LCDA in Oyo state expires on Friday 7th July and this has created palpable fears in the minds of many of the council chairmen

Investigation by our reporter reveals that some of the council chairmen are afraid of losing the seat why some are not worried about what happened since they are not really enjoying the full benefits of being in that position

It was also gathered that the council chairman are yet to receive salary since they were appointed due to the backlog of unpaid salary arrears in some council

Meanwhile their fate lies in the hand of the house of Assembly who has the power to determine whether to extend their tenure or reject it base on performance and relationship with the people .
