A former House of Reps Member Hon. Tayo Jubril Akande Sarumi is dead.
Sarumi who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency between 2003-2007 died on Friday at the age of 75.
According to the burial plans released by the family, the late federal lawmaker would be buried on 10th Sep, 4:00PM at his residence, Glory View Estate, Adenuga Street, Kogi Bodija Ibadan.
“His exit leaves a heartache no one can heal but we will take solace in the beautiful memories no death can steal.”
Meanwhile the Executive Chairman Of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Hon. Tayo Sarumi.
“I was deeply shocked to learn of his death this evening. He was one of the most prominent lawmakers who did not shy away from issues that affected Nigerians in general.
He was very passionate about Oyo state progress and contributed immensely to the expansion of common wealth to our people, especially in Ibadan North LG. Baba Sarumi was a loving man, a peacemaker, a grassroots politician and a detribalized Nigerian who was well-loved by his people,” Agba Egbe Said.
Agba Egbe also commiserated with the immediate family, Governor Seyi Makinde over the sad loss.
