Ex Oyo SSG Sarafa Alli , Journalists,others escape death as Gunmen Attack Olubadan Palace

The Chieftaincy crisis rocking  the ancient city of Ibadanland took a dangerous twist on Monday as gunmen shot at the former secretary to the state government Chief Sarafadeen Alli at the entrance Olubadan palace.

Apart from Alli who escaped death,several other people including journalists who were at the palace to report the installation of new Mogaji and Baale( Family Head ) were caught in the fire.

An eye witness told our reporter that the scene was like an assassination attempt on Chief Alli whose car was shot ‘ if you look closely you will see that the shot aimed at the person who sit at the owners corner but thank God the bullet missed its target.

‘ The gunmen were so daring that they waited for some minutes challenging those inside the palace to come out and face them if they are fit’ the witness said further .

Another eye witness, Asiwaju Babatunde Yusuff, “some Gunmen shoot directly at Asaju Balogun Olubadan Oloye Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli’s Jeep at Olubadan Palace Popo Y’emoja”.

His words: “Anu lari gba…….It was seriously serious when some Gunmen shoot directly at Asaju Balogun Olubadan Oloye Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli’s Jeep at Olubadan Palace Popo Y’emoja.

“Actually we were @ 10feets to Palace gate when those men were driving directly in a white Previa Jeep towards our Jeep.The Olubadan (King) scheduled installation ceremony of some Baale today at the Palace .
