Malachi Coker,Ondo former leader of the House of Assembly and member representing Ilaje constituency II, and the majority leader of the House, Hon.Gbenga Araoyinbo , from Akoko North West Constituency 11 have decamped from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The duo joined the new party today at the Cocoa Conference Hall , Alagbaka, Akure with their teeming supporters who thronged the venue to identify with their leaders.
The lawmakers said their decision was based on the present lack of direction that holds the PDP at the jugular both at the National and state levels.
According to them, the need to join the ruling party became very important in order to afford them the right political positioning to bring dividends to their respective constituencies.

The executive governor of the state Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu witnessed the event while the defectors were received by The State Deputy Chairman of APC in Ondo State Engr Ade Adetimehin
