It was all joy and glamour at Kuta, Osun State, today 14th July, 2024 during the Sixtieth Birthday Celebrations of the Olowu of Kuta, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Adekunle Oyelude Makama CON, Tegbosun (111).

The event was attended by cross section of eminent Nigerians, which included, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, representative of the Governor of Osun State, the Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, who led an array of Traditional rulers across the SouthWest States, which included the Ataoja Of Osogbo, the Timi of Ede, the Okere of Saki, the Olowu of Owu, the Osun G 12 Traditional rulers led by their President, Oba Adedokun Abolarinwa and others

A major highlight of the event was the arrival of a former Chief of Army Staff (COAS, Nigerian Army) and former Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Ambassador Tukur Buratai CFR, the Betara of Biu, and the Balogun Agba of Kuta, who’s a bossom friend of the celebrant, who arrived the arena with a powerful delegation of eminent Nigerians, including Traditional Rulers, Serving and Retired Senior Military Personnel, Academicians, Senior Politicians and various Captains of Industry, Ambassador Buratai’s delegation included the Emir of Biu, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mustapha Umar Mustapha 11, CON, the representative of the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Shamsudeen Abubakar, Fagaccin keffi, Alhaji Ibrahim Birma, the Birma Biu, HRH, Adekemi Omorinbola, the Regent of Asin, Iwaro-Akoko, Lt General Lamidi Adeosun (rtd) former Chief of Policy and Plans Nigerian Army, Real Admiral Adamu Biu (rtd), Major General Bulama Biu (rtd), Dr Ahmed Manzo, Hon Jafaru Ribadu, the Garrison Commander, 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Muazu, Colonel Emmanuel Adegbola (rtd)
Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi, Hon Ibrahim Danfulani, the Saduakin Garkuwan keffi, Chairman TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, Alhaji Aminu Bello Ibrahim, as well as many others to numerous to mention.

The event also featured presentation of gifts and soveniers to the celebrant by Ambassador Buratai, and the Emir of Biu. The Emir of Biu equally presented soveniers to the Ooni of Ife, where he extended his hand of friendship on behalf of the Biu Emirate to the Ooni of Ife.

Ambassador Buratai while speaking attested to the sagacity and patriotism of Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, especially his love for his people and humanity, he also spoke of his support during his tenure as Nigeria’s Chief of Army staff. He acknowledged
Oba Makama dedication to the promotion of peaceful coexistence of the Country.

Ambassador Buratai also spoke on how Oba Makama facilitated the construction of the Bridge linking Kuta to Ede by the Nigerian Army as part of its Civil/ Military Relationship projects during his tenure as COAS.

The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, also prayed for the celebrant, Oba Oyelude Makama. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi also commended and appreciated Ambassador Tukur Buratai and also thank him for his patriotism and loyal services to the Nation.

The attendees to the occasion attested to the fact that, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama CON is a celebrated Nigerian Monarch, who has distinguished himself in the services to his fatherland.

Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama CON is a combination of strength and character, whose deep thoughts gave birth to numerous intervention that repositioned Kuta, Osun State and Yoruba Land.

As Nigerians from all works of life came to celebrate Oba Makama on his Sixtieth Birthday Celebrations. It is a statement of fact that the Almighty Allah, the great architect of the universe, has fashioned him as a builder of men, a humanist, an extra ordinary mentor, a pace setter, and a great leader.

Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama’s life offers a powerful example of how positive values of excellence can lead to great rewards and this is a message that deserves to be heard by this generation and beyond.
