
It was a moment of heartfelt tributes and celebration as Mrs. Akinwale Racheal Oladuni officially retired from active teaching service, drawing the curtain on a distinguished career as an Assistant Headteacher at Community Primary School, Odokoto, Petuo, Ogbomoso.

The retirement thanksgiving service, held at Gateway Baptist Church, Odokoto, brought together colleagues, family, former students, and well-wishers who gathered to honor her decades of dedication and selfless service to education.
Delivering the sermon at the event, Reverend Dr. Gbola Aremu, of Odo Oru Baptist Church, commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his administration’s consistent and prompt payment of retirement benefits to civil servants. He noted that many retirees, including members of his congregation, have testified to receiving their entitlements swiftly—a sharp contrast to delays experienced in the past.
Speaking on the theme “Enjoying Retirement,” Rev. Aremu urged Mrs. Akinwale and other retirees to embrace the new chapter of their lives by giving back to God and society. “There are many things you wished to do for God while working but couldn’t—now is the time,” he stated, emphasizing the need for purposeful living after retirement.
Mrs. Akinwale was showered with praise by colleagues and former pupils who described her as a disciplined, compassionate, and impactful educator. Her legacy, they said, would continue to inspire generations of learners and teachers alike.
A member of the family Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, Chairman Oyo state local Government Service Commission also celebrated her exit from the service and pray for long life and good health after retirement
