Etsu Nupe Turbans Open Salawu As Waziri Jari Nupe

An Ogbomoso born civil Engineer Muftau Open Salawu was on Saturday turbaned as Wazirin Jari Nupe (Daudu) byvEtsu of Nupe, HRH Alhaji Dr Yahaya Abubakar.

The event which was held at the palace of the monarch who is the permanent chairman of traditional rulers in Niger State was attended by people from all walks of live

Etsu of Nupe kingdom, Alhaji Dr Yahaya Abubakar while turbaning him said “This traditional title Wazirin Jari Nupe (Daudu) means a leader in Nupe land, , it is another responsibility for you to continue good works and i pray that may Allah guide you and give you wisdom”.

He described the Open Salawu as a born philanthropist whose impact is felt in bida and the entire Nupe kingdom “He is one of us, Engr Muftau has been actually commendable in his attitudes, works, behavior and welfarism. He always assist the needy and whenever he has, he look down at the people who are in need”.

Minister for youth and sport development, Mr Sunday Dare described the title as well-deserved, saying Engr Muftau was a model of humility and hardwork.

The Minister represented by Hon Kolawole Sola also appreciated the monarch for identifying the Engr Muftau for title, saying the title would spur him to do more for Nupe kingdom and the country at large.

Also, President Yoruba community in Niger State, Alhaji Abdullihai Jimoh Muhammad appreciate the monarch for bestowing a first class title on one of them.

Engr Muftau who hosted several dignitaries and guests to a reception at W F Salawu house in Bida, Niger State in his remark appreciated the Etsu and the entire traditional rulers and Nup people for considering him worthy of the title and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him.

Among dignitaries in attendance were, Minister for youth and sport development, Mr Sunday Dare represented by Hon Kolawole Sola,Arc. Aminu Bello, Alhaji Kabiru Stadia, Alhaji Usman Suleiman, Engr Abdulfatai Saka, Alhaji Yusuf Ismaila, Alhaji Mohammed Abaji, Dr Abdulahi Muhammad President Yoruba community Niger State, Iyaloja of Oyo State Alhaja Aminat Buhari, APC leaders in the five local government of Ogbomoso Zone, Engr Ahmed Yabagi, President National Association of Technologist in Engineering, traditional rulers from Nupe kingdom and many more
