House of Representatives member representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon. Dhikrulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide(Odidiomo) has felicitated with Christian faithful in Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria as they celebrate Good Friday to mark the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Hon Stanley Olajide who is also the Chairman House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity stated this in a statement released by his Media Team, urging Christian faithful to use the period to emulate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ while on earth.
He said Jesus submitted to the will of God by willingly offering himself as a sacrifice to redeem mankind to God.
The lawmaker added that Easter symbolizes sacrifice and service to God and therefore, enjoined Christians to emulate the life of Jesus Christ who laid down his life as the ultimate sacrifice for all.
Hon Stanley Olajide further urged Christians to use the opportunity offered by the events to reconcile with God by imbibing the spirit of love, self-sacrifice, forgiveness, and humility, as well as love for the State.
“The period should herald a rebirth and healing of the country, emphasizing the need to use the period to pray for the success of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.”
Odidiomo wishes the Christian faithful a successful Good Friday and a happy Easter celebration in advance,” he said.
