A social crusader, Ayodele Oluwanisola, popularly known as Apostle Sholly, has urged the Ekiti State House of Assembly to enact laws prohibiting underage children from accessing hotels, lounges, and clubhouses across the state.

Expressing deep concern over the growing trend, Apostle Sholly condemned the exposure of children to inappropriate activities in such establishments.

He criticized parents who bring their infants and young children to environments where smoking, drug use, and nudity are prevalent, warning that such exposure could have lasting negative effects on their health and future.

“It is heartbreaking to see careless parents take their infant children to clubhouses, hotels, and lounges where all sorts of immoral activities happen. Smoking, drug use, nudity, and other bad habits are now common in these places. Unfortunately, many hotels and clubs allow underage children into adult lounges and rooms, violating hotel regulations,” he lamented.

Apostle Sholly called on the Ekiti State Government, the House of Assembly, and the State Youth Assembly to take urgent action by implementing strict laws restricting the admission of underage children into such establishments. He further suggested the creation of designated recreational centers tailored for children, where they can safely enjoy leisure activities without exposure to harmful practices.

He urged hotel and club operators to adhere to ethical standards and avoid endangering the welfare of minors, warning that failure to regulate access to such places could lead to further moral and social decline among young people in the state.
