The Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development has officially unveiled its Cultural Tourism Calendar for July and August 2025, showcasing a vibrant lineup of traditional festivals across various towns in the state.
According to a public announcement signed by Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, Director General of the Bureau, the calendar is designed to immerse visitors and residents in the rich cultural heritage and historical legacy of Ekiti State.
The following cultural events have been scheduled:
- Olofin Festival – Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Ilawe Ekiti. For further details, attendees are encouraged to contact Chief Elemo of Ilawe.
- Olosunta Cultural Carnival – Scheduled from Thursday, July 31 to Friday, August 1, 2025, in Ikere Ekiti. Inquiries should be directed to the Olukere of Ikere.
- Odun Oba of Ogoga Ikere – Holding on Saturday, August 2, 2025, also in Ikere Ekiti. Interested participants should contact the Ogoga of Ikere.
- Usi Day – Taking place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Usi Ekiti.
- Ogun Onire Festival – Scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Ire Ekiti.
The Bureau expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming events, urging cultural enthusiasts, tourists, and citizens to take part in these celebrations which highlight the unique traditions and communal spirit of the Ekiti people.
“We look forward to welcoming you to these unforgettable cultural experiences right here in Ekiti State,” the statement read.
