A frontline Oyo Central Senatorial hopeful, Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), has urged Muslim faithful across the nation to emulate Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary life of peace, humility and compassion.
This is contained in a eid-el-maulud message he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan.
Alli congratulated Muslims, stressing that the celebration should inspire everyone to imbibe the Prophet’s teachings of love, justice and mutual respect.
He described Prophet Muhammad as a model of good character whose life remains a guiding light to humanity, urging Muslims to strengthen their faith and commitment to God.
The senatorial hopeful urged Nigerians to embrace tolerance, understanding and peaceful coexistence, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations, saying such virtues are vital for the progress and stability of the nation.
“All Nigerians must rise above differences and work collectively towards building a just, peaceful and prosperous society.
“That is the true essence of the Prophet’s message,” Alli said.
He reassured the people of Oyo Central of his commitment to quality representation and service delivery if given the mandate, promising to prioritise unity, empowerment and development.
Alli prayed that the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud would usher in renewed hope, abundant blessings and prosperity for the people.
He called on political leaders at all levels to govern with fairness, sincerity and the fear of God.
