Federal lawmakers including Hon Shinal Abiola Peller, Hon Abass Adigun and Hon Sadipe have felicitate Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and Eid-al Fitri celebration.
Hon. Shina Peller, a member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, in a statement released by his press secretary,Kola Popoola enjoined all to pray for peace in Nigeria.
The statement reads:”I congratulate fellow Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of 2021 Ramadan fasting, and on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr that is being observed globally.
“The last one month has been a soul-purifying one for most of us, as we engaged our creator days and nights praying and seeking His forgiveness of our sins and misdeeds. It was also a month in which we constantly engaged in one form of good deeds or another. Now that Ramadan is over, we must not withdraw from doing so.
“Importantly, as we celebrate this year Eid-al Fitri, let us remember to pray for peace to reign in our land; it is not enough for us to pray only, we must be ready to speak, act and relate with one another peacefully irrespective of our differences.
“Peaceful coexistence is required for us to progress as a country; there can never be development where there is no peace. We need peace in our land, and to achieve this, we must be tolerant of one another. Treat others the way you will like to be treated, and we will achieve a more peaceful society.
Hon Abass Adigun, member, House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency who is also the Vice chairman House Committee On Airforce, in a message from his media office, urged Muslims to promote a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.
The lawmaker said in a statement released through his director of communication and media, Aremu Ibraheem, felicitate with the Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr after completion of the Ramadan fast, a major pillar of Islam.
“The Holy month of Ramadan is an opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to deepen their relationship with Allah, promote life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.”
Noting that the present administration of Gov. Seyi Makinde is committed to promoting peaceful co-existence in the state, the lawmaker added, “he urges all Muslims to sustain these values even after the holy month to build a prosperous and peaceful Oyo State where everyone can actualise their dreams.”
Hon. Abass Adigun particularly congratulated Gov Seyi Makinde, Muslims in the State on the celebration, prayed God to continue to make the state peace to, and for the state to witness tremendous blessings, peace and many more Eid El fitri Celebrations.
Similarly Hon Tolulope Akande-Sadipe of Oluyole Federal Constituency representative in her message called for intensified security and a lasting solution to the insecurity and economic hardship across the nation.
The Oluyole Representative also took the opportunity to reiterate her undaunted effort to contribute her quota as a member of the Green Chamber.
