A Lagos-based leading catering and event planning organization, Eddyglad Cakes and Event Planning, has concluded all arrangements to launch a Newsletter on the values and the skills of the African culinary acts to be launched in the first quarter of 2021.

This was disclosed in Lagos by the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the organization, Mrs. Igbekele Gladys, while addressing guests who included her company’s customers at a yearly event organized to appreciate her numerous customers.

This year’s event was organized in strict compliance with the Covid 19 stipulated regulations. It was a low-key activity but with notable celebrities in attendance.

Igbekele noted that it was time ‘caterers should begin to look inwards and deploy the skills from the concepts of Africanism” to catering. By so doing, she said, “African continent can begin to boast of total freedom from colonization.”

“Our organization has observed with sacred interest that if Africans can deploy their talents and skills to catering, we can earn enviable profile at the expense of our western world colleagues. This is a challenge we are yet to accept as professionals and we must have a reawakening from our sub-consciousness.’

“We caterers should begin to look inwards and to deploy the skills from the concepts of Africanism into catering and by so doing, African continent can boast of total freedom from any further colonization…”, she noted.
