Dr Yunus Akintunde the Distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District has sent felicitations to Christians as they celebrate the Easter season which marks a significant aspect of the faith adherents on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement released to the press through Kunle Olatunji the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Yunus Akintunde, he further enjoined everyone to emulate the spirit of Easter celebrations and the teachings of Christ in love and benevolence to humanity.
“The entire Easter period starting from Friday signifies the trials, crucifixion of Jesus Christ culminating on his resurrection on the third day as the Holy Book recorded”.
“These are significant events that harped on teachings of divine grace, love and benevolence that must be impactful in our daily lives and relationship within humanity as commanded in the teachings of Christ and the Holy Book the Bible”
