The Academic Staff Union, Senior Staff Association and the Non Academic Staff Union of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo has vowed not to resume work untill all the salary arrears are paid.

The workers Unions of the College had earlier commenced an indefinite strike since June over 15 months of unpaid salary arrears.

The managment had on sunday announced the suspension of union activities and directs staff to resume

EACOED in the circular dated Friday, 3rd August 2018 which was signed by Mr. T. I Adeniran who doubles as its registrar and council secretary, declared that shut down of business activities of the institution by members of COEASU and NASU had robbed the institution its Internal Generated Revenue.

Every effort of the council and the college management to put an end to the strike proved abortive as workers insist on the payment of 15 months salary arrears and commencement of full payment (100%) of their salary.

It was gathered that the state government has released a sum of 110 million naira as subvention fund to the institution and the management have appealed to the workers union to resume and get pat of their payment .
