As part of its mandate to give meaning to lives and transform the destinies of Women, Widows, Aged, Youths and the less privileged, DROMI world, is set to empower less privileged, unskilled and unemployed women, through a Free Skill Acquisition Training programme, beginning today, October 14th, in Akure, Ondo state.
The event will last for 6 days to end on 19th October. It is billed to hold at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre and will be delivering tranning on various skills that includes Soap and Disinfectant making, Small chops, makeup & gele tying, Decoration amongst others.
DROMI, Dr. Rhoda Makinde Initiative, is an NGO with a vision to transform thousands of women through evidenced based programs that focus on expanding women’s rights and security and advancing women’s political participation through an integrated approach that promotes gender equality across the society.
DROMI has held such trainings in Ondo, Osogbo, Ibadan among other places and it is scheduled to commence by 9:00am on each of the 6 days of the free training programme.
