A popular gospel juju musician, Prince Adesina Akanni (a.k.a Okiki Jesu) has revealed that his major dream is to wax an album that will sell over 10 million copies, saying that is not impossible with hard work and dedication.
The multi-talented Saki-born musician revealed this while speaking with newsmen at the launching of his newly released album titled “Fajeyemi”, which took place at the Prince and Princess Hotel, Saki, Oyo state, last weekend.
Okiki Jesu explained that with 170 million population, Nigeria provides a lucrative market place for the entertainment industry to thrive, adding that a musician whose name has become a household name in the country should not find it difficult to sell hit the market.
He, however, used the medium to appeal to the Nigerian government to take the war against piracy seriously, as according to him, the problem of piracy has almost made it impossible for Nigerian musician to get returns from their albums.
Present at the Occasion were: Hon. Dapo Popoola, former Chairman of Saki West local government area of Oyo state; Prince Wale Afolarin, the CEO of Prince and Princess Hotel, Saki; Chief Sarafadeen Akanji (a.k.a Ayaka); General Oveerseer I.A. Adesina of the First Ebenezer Apostolic Church, Saki; and Queen Adesina Oluwaseun Adufe.
Speaking on his 20-year musical career, Okiki Jesu revealed that being a son of a clergy, he started his career in the church at the tender age of 12, after the talents in him manifested.
He maintained that the newly launched album was a follow-up to his first album titled “Alaanu mi” released in the year 2009.

The talented musician also used the opportunity to commend members of his band, the Okiki Jesu Gospel Juju Entertainment Band, and his numerous fans across the country and abroad for their support and steadfastness over the years.
