As Nigerians celebrate Democracy Day Mogaji Joseph Tegbe as harps on the needa Nigerians to renew their sense of responsibility to preserve and protect democracy

Tegbe a Peoples Democratic Party PDP Chieftain in a statement said it is important to celebrate the freedom, peace and stability that democracy brings and to remind ourselves of the role our Nation has played in establishing and preserving democracies around the world

In a statement personally signed, the PDP Senatorial Candidate in the last election in Oyo South said maintained that “June 12 remains a watershed in our history as a Nation. It is a day that symbolizes free will, National consensus and sacrifices that have come to define our democracy. In this regard it is important to renew our sense of responsibility to preserve and protect this democracy. Let’s all play our roles in building a society that promotes individual liberty and upholds basic human rights.”

“This day is an important reminder of why we renew our commitment to equity and justice in every corner we find ourselves and above all support the government so we can all together build a nation we will all be proud of”
