Dr. Aderonke Dairo has been returned as the APC flag bearer in the coming State Assembly election for Constituency 2, Ibadan Northeast Local Government in Oyo State.
Ronke who polled 20 votes at the primary which was held on the 26th May, at Owolowo cooperative hall, Yidi, Agugu defeated her closest rival Hon. Kazeem Lawal who got just 4 votes.
Dr. Aderonke Dairo expressed her gratitude to the people of Ibadan North East II, APC party leaders, distinguished delegates, and, of course, her AOD team. In a personal statement released on her official social media handles, Dr Aderonke Dairo was quoted to have said – “I am excited and grateful to God, my team, delegates, entire APC and Ibadan North East II people for entrusting me with their votes and choosing me to represent the party at the general elections. She enjoined party leaders to settle all internal wranglings within the party, and form a formidable bond going forward, as no house divided against itself would stand. We must stay resolute and form a common front to accentuate our goal”.
Speaking to Newsmen about her agenda, the Philanthrope said: It is obvious how passionate I have always been about good healthcare, skills acquisition, basic social amenities, youths and gender mainstreaming. These and many more impactful policies is what the people of Ibadan North East II will benefit when I am elected as Oyo State House Of Assembly member.” She charged her teeming supporters not to rest on their oars as more effort will be required to win the general election.
