No fewer than 1,500 people are to benefit from Daniel Ayoola Dare (DAD) Foundation on going Ibadan Medical Outreach holding at the Lekan Salami stadium.
The Foundation Chairman, Mr Sunday Dare disclosed this while speaking with newsmen at the venue of the medical outreach which kicked off early Friday.
According to him, the expected 1,500 people are to undergo free eye test and as well be given free eye glasses and the necessary medications in accordance with the outcome of the results conducted on them.
Mr Dare said further that no fewer than 500 people are expected to be attended to daily during the Obama going 3 days medical outreach, adding. that he was impressed with the turnout of the people for the medical outreach.
He stressed that at a similar Medical Outreach held in Ogbomoso this year, about 1,000 people benefited from the free eye test and free eye glasses and that the free medical outreach will by August this year be expanded to include free medical screening, providing family support such as distributing food items, free surgery among others.
Speaking on the motive behind the foundation named after his late father, Mr Dare said the Free Medical Outreach was part of his efforts at impacting positively on the life of the people in the society.
The DAD Foundation Chairman then advised those wishing to seek elective offices in the country to first let their people feel their impact in a positive way by contributing to the society before even showing any political ambition .
When asked whether he is nursing any political ambition come 2019, Mr Dare said, ” after serving for years as a journalist, and with my experience, I think it is about time I come home. I am using it as a platform to plant myself politically in Oyo state”.
