A chieftain of the All Pogressives Congress APC, Engineeer Muftau Open Salawu has called on Federal Government toestablish Food Bank in 774 local government and enforce total lock down of the country.

Open Salawu in a press statement
said the amount of food in the country may not sustain our population for too long and very soon every body will know how Vulnerable we all are.”

“We don’t have a good data base or harmonised data in Nigeria and am not sure if we have records of the Vulnerable people in Nigeria and as a matter of fact most Nigerians are Vulnerable.”

The former Special Adviser to the immediate past governor of Oyo state Senator Abiola Ajimobi maintained that the earlier the better we all observed total luck down all over the country not the sectional lock down we are experiencing now, curbing the spread and isolating infected people are the way to go now.

“Food Bank should be established quickly in all the 774 Local Government and to be Headed by the Chairman of the traditional rulers of that Local government and LG Chairman to serve as Secretary with community development chairmen as members.”

” The Government should put 2000 bags of rice and 2000 bags of beans in each of the 774 food banks to be established and 70 Billion Naira can take care of it and more than 15 million households could be reached within a week and thereafter we can enforce the stay at home.”
