COVID -19: Polytechnic Lecturers Support Oyo Govt. With Cash Donation

Lecturers of The Polythecnic Ibadan Poly will tomorrow present firs bacth of their donations to Oyo state government in support of the fight against COVID 19.

This is coming few days after The authorities of the institutee announced the commencement of production of world class hand sanitizers as part of efforts to join hands with the Oyo State and The Federal government in the preventive measures against the deadly

Asiwaju Akinade Nurudeen who hinted National Insight on the development said the need to support the government was raised on whatsApp platform forum and about 115 lecturers responded

so far we have been able.to raise over N300,000 and we will present it tomorrow

Akinade said, “The development is commendable because in this trying moment people can still take out of their hard earned salary and donate towards government’s efforts to curb Coronavirus pandemic.”

He maintained that more we are still expecting more from our people but the available one will be donated tomorrow

Oyo state government has last week said the donations from individuals and corporate orgnatives has hits N200m.

The donors includes Senator Rasidi Ladoja, Chief Bode Akindele, Engineer Remi Oseni, First Bank, UBA and others.
