COVID-19: Oyo Records 87 New Cases in 19 LGAs as Total Hits 2306

The Oyo State government has confirmed the total of Eigthy-seven (87) new cases of the Corona Virus disease from 19 local government areas of the state bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2306.

The state made this known in series of tweet shared on the Official Twitter page of the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde giving the July 23rd situation report on Friday.

The situation report which revealed the state recorded more cases of COVID-19 from Iseyin, Oyo East, Lagelu, Ogbomoso North and South further enjoined Oyo citizen who feel unwell to check in to community – based test center.

The report reads;

The COVID-19 confirmation tests for eighty-seven suspected cases came back POSITIVE.

The cases are from Iseyin (18), Oyo East (11), Lagelu (9), Ogbomosho South (8) Ogbomosho North (7), Egbeda (5), Ido (5), Oluyole (4), Ibadan North (4), Atiba (4), Ibadan North East (2), Akinyele (2), Oyo West (2), Oorelope (1), Ibadan South West (1), Ogo Oluwa (1), Afijio (1), Ibarapa Central (1) and Saki West (1) LGAs.

So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 2306.
