Covid- 19: Organizers Cancel Ajilete Carnival 2020

The organizers of Ajilete Carnival, an annual event put in place to celebrate and promote social- cultural activities in Ogbomoso have announced the suspension of the event for the year 2020.

Though the development was regretted but it is to avoid further spread of corona Virus which is now on a sharp rise in the world.

This year carnival was slated for 26th December 2020 in Ogbomoso at Ogbomoso township stadium

Speaking with journalists in ogbomoso, The chairman , Ajilete carnival concept, Hon Akinwale Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle said, ” We have concluded all arrangements but the unfortunate development is an hindrance.

” As a responsible organization,we love our people and we want them to stay healthy, the crowd at the event will be more than what social distancing can control so we decided to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by cancelling the event so that people can enjoy the festive period and start new year with good health.

‘ We want to sincerely apologise to all who are in one way or the other preparing for the event, most especially our sponsors, Fans supporters and the entire people of Ogbomso and its environs for the inconveniences the cancellation would have caused .

Wolekanke while urging the people to ensure strict compliance with COVID- 19 protocols during the festive period, the chairman AA luxury suites Ogbomoso also wish Christian faithful The best of the season
