The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced plans to conduct a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for applicants shortlisted in its ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.
In a public notice signed by the Secretary to the Board, Major General (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril, and dated October 21, 2025, the Board expressed appreciation to members of the public for their patience and cooperation throughout the recruitment process.
According to the notice, the CBT will soon hold across the thirty-six (36) states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The exercise is a key part of the recruitment activities for candidates who applied to any of the four services under the Board—Civil Defence, Correctional Service, Fire Service, and Immigration Service.
The statement directed applicants to visit the official recruitment portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, next week to check their application status and confirm if they have been shortlisted for the CBT. The portal will also provide information about designated centres and the specific dates for the test.
Maj. Gen. Jibril further cautioned applicants to beware of fraudulent individuals and fake websites claiming to represent the Board. He emphasized that the only legitimate portal for recruitment information remains the one listed in the public notice.
“All applicants are enjoined to take note of the Board’s portal address highlighted above to avoid being scammed,” the statement read in part.
The CDCFIB, headquartered at the Old Federal Secretariat, Area 1, Garki, Abuja, oversees recruitment and administrative matters for the four key paramilitary agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior.
