A disturbing case of child abuse has led to the arrest of a woman identified as Ihsanatu Shaaibu, who was caught on video inflicting severe physical injuries on her five-year-old stepdaughter, Fa’iza Bala.
The video, which sparked public outrage, prompted swift action by law enforcement.
According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the arrest was made on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
He assured the public that the suspect will be prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded.
“The suspects have been arrested, and we will ensure justice is served. We remain committed to protecting the rights of children and will keep the public informed of the proceedings,” ACP Adejobi said.
