The principal of Ede Muslim High School 1, Ede, Osun State, Mr. Khalid Abbas who issued a statement of result and testimonial to Senator Ademola Adeleke, has finally confessed that the documents are not valid.

Abbas revealed this to the Sun Newspapers in Ede, Osun State on Tuesday. He lamented over his ordeal since the matter took another dimension and criminalised.

He disclosed that there were records that Senator Adeleke enrolled into the school in 1976 and finished in 1981.

He added that he acted on the record he met when he became the principal and issued the statement of result and the testimonial.

The embattled principal made a shocking revelation on the senator’s result scandal, reportedly declaring that “there was an error by the registrar in the testimonial in terms of date and the WAEC number and that the error could still be corrected.

Recall that Justice David Oladeji of a high court sitting in Osogbo, the state capital had last year ruled that the documents contained “serious and damaging irregularities.”

The principal’s revelations conferred credibility on the ruling of Bwari court bordering on forgery and perjury suit against the senator

The court had held that senator Ademola presented fake document to electoral umpire to contest the September 22 governorship election in Osun and that the action contravened electoral act.

The court cited discrepancies in the documents that the senator supported with sworn affividat and presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission prior to the election.

The last is yet to be heard on the result scandal as the Registrar who was said to have signed the document is now at large.
