Celebration of Life: Ibadan Agog as Ladoja, Bayo Lawal, Reps Members, Other Honour Hon. Stanley Olajide at Dad’s Fidau Prayer, Farewell Reception

The city of Ibadan was agog on Friday, April 19th, as people from all walks of life gathered to celebrate the glorious exit of Alhaji Tokunbo Olajide, father of the lawmaker representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon. Dhikirullahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo.

Alhaji Tokunbo Olajide died on April 12th at the age of 87 and was laid to rest according to Islamic rites the same day.

The fidau prayer led by Chief Imam of Ibadanland Sheik Abdul Ganiuy Agbotomokekere was held at his Anfani residence in the morning while the reception was held at Jogor Event Centre and liberty stadium.

The Islamic clerics who prayed at the fidau prayer extolled the virtues of the late Alhaji Tokunbo Olajide and pray that Almighty Allah grant him Aljana Firdauz.

Hon Olajide who was overwhelmed by the love and support he received from people at the event wrote: “Thank you so much sir and everyone for the show of love for honoring our invitation to attend the farewell Reception for our father, Alhaji Abdullateef Akin-Tokunbo Olajide (LATO)”

Tolu Obey, son of the legendary juju musician  Chief Ebenezer Obey and his band thrilled the audience at the Jogor center while Taiye Adebisi popularly known as Taiye currency performed at liberty stadium.
