He said further that “I am not leaving APC. I have told my followers and people of Ogbomoso that we are in APC and nothing can change that. I won’t disappoint you. Don’t be deceived by those saying that I will dump APC.”

When asked about his agenda for 2019 poll, Otunba Akala said he was waiting for God’s direction.

He argued that such discussion on 2019 elections were premature.

“In politics, you don’t talk about 2019 in 2017. Anything can happen. I leave everything in God’s and he will answer me when the time comes,”  said Akala

An inside source told our reporter that Otunba Alao Akala’s chances of  greeting better opportunities is brighter in APC than PDP. ‘ When the PDP came to him ,he reminded them of how they manipulate everything to frustrate his ambition in 2011 and 2015  and apart from that he cannot work with some of the elements in PDP anymore.’

The source hinted further that  the former governor and some political is already relating with some of his kinsmen in Ogbomoso including Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi , the only PDP lawmaker in Oyo state and Senator Ayoade Adeseun  and many others.

Some of his supporters especially in Ogbomoso have started underground work ,they want him to contest the governorship seat in 2019 or at least go for Oyo North Senatorial seat under the platform of APC.

While speaking on the development, Hon Segun Olaleye, a member of the Oyo state House of Assembly representing Ibadan North constituency 11 said Akala’s declaration has nailed the oppositions in the state

“ His words today further confirms my position that, the PDP alliances will not work, it’s  dead on arrival  and Labour Party is dead because Alao Akala is the engine that drives its body.

‘ I can assure you, in few weeks time some people big wigs in Oyo politics who are not members of APC before will decamp into APC and that will make it easier for APC in 2019.

Meanwhile a close associate of the former governor and the Minority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Joshua Olagunjo Ojo said he is still  in Labour Party,  “ Alao Akala is my leader but as it is now I am in Labour Party because it was on labour party platform that I won election and became the  Minority leader” He said
