Anthonia Oore-Ofe, the daughter of one of the most widely travelled journalists in Nigeria and former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, was recently announced as the best female graduating student of the maiden graduating set of Dominion University, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The 17-year-old Anthonia bags first-class Bachelor of Science graduate in Mass Communications, First Class (Honors) with a 4.86 GPA .
The Usi-Ekiti-born communicator also won five awards and cash prizes which include the Vice Chancellor’s Award for the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Arts, Social, and Management Sciences; the Overall Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Arts, Social, and Management Sciences; and the Professor Adeyemi O. Ewetade Award for the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Arts, Social, and Management Sciences.
Speaking with National Insight, Anonia who is the publisher of Anthonia Gists an online news platform said ,” It takes a lot of hardwork and dedication , it goes beyond the surface level. you have to imagine it and see the future from your own point of view which i did and thank God its ending in praise
Domonion University was my saving grace because all other schools have closed admitting students when i saw the advert online and i applied and was offered admission.
Asked what next she said she is going into content writing and do some professional program before and during the NYSC and move to the next level.
