The Vice Chancellor of Bowen University, Professor Jonathan Oyebamiji Babalola, has commended Globacom for its consistent provision of digital services to the institution over the years.
He made this remark during a business meeting with Globacom’s Enterprise Business Team at the University campus in Iwo, Osun state. He expressed delight in partnering further with Globacom.
He also requested Globacom’s support through corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, focusing on enhancing the university’s mandate and progress.
Adeniyi Odejobi, the Enterprise Business Lead, Globacom, highlighted the company’s position as a leading digital solutions provider in Nigeria, servicing enterprises, SMEs, corporates, public sector organizations, universities, and millions of individuals.
“For over two decades, Globacom has driven revolutionary changes in Nigeria’s telecommunications industry,” Odejobi noted, adding that “We pioneered massive telephone penetration, making phone lines affordable for all Nigerians.”
Some of Globacom’s innovations, according to him, include constructing the wholly-owned international submarine cable, Glo 1 and Introduction of groundbreaking digital services which have contributed to the revolutionary changes witnessed in the Nigerian telecommunications industry.
“Because of Globacom, every Nigerian today can afford a telephone line”, Odejobi explained further.
Odejobi urged Bowen University to expand its partnership with Globacom, leveraging on key services like Glo Learning Management System (LMS), Toll-Free Data and Mobility services to propel the institution to the next level.
