Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole, fondly called Wolekanle, is a man whose passion for the development and unity of Ogbomosoland mirrors the legacy of his late father, Justice Akinsami Akinwale of Seriki Compound  Osupa Following in his father’s footsteps, Wolekanle has devoted his energy, resources, and influence to advancing the welfare of his people, cementing his reputation as a true son of the soil.

Immediately he returned from the United Kingdom, Wolekanle immediately channeled his efforts into initiatives aimed at uplifting his kinsmen. He became a beacon of hope, initiating various philanthropic and developmental projects. His contributions span across financial and moral support, scholarship sponsorships, and more, all designed to empower the less privileged in Ogbomosoland.

One of his notable endeavors is the establishment of Ogbomoso United Football Club, a platform created to nurture soccer talents among the youth. The club has not only provided opportunities for young athletes to hone their skills but has also produced players who have excelled in various clubs and associations both locally and internationally. This initiative reflects Wolekanle’s belief in the power of sports as a tool for youth development and community building.

Driven by a desire to address societal challenges, Wolekanle ventured into politics, seeking to right the wrongs and leverage the platform to further his commitment to humanity. His political journey began with his appointment as Secretary of Ogbomoso North Local Government, where he distinguished himself as a dedicated servant of the people. Although his bid for the Senate was met with overwhelming support, the intricacies of the “Nigerian Factor” hindered his success. However, Wolekanle’s resolve to serve and bring joy to his people remained unshaken.
