The Balogun Ikolaba Seriki of Ibadanland Pa. Engr. Gabriel Koworola Atanda Amoo is dead ,

According to a statement signed by Professor Christopher Akinwale Oyeleye of the Department of Information Systems LAUTECH, Ogbomoso Baba Amao died on the early of hour of Tuesday 8th October, 2024 at the ripe age of 95.

Baba Kofo as he was fondly called was born on January 4 1929 in Isale Alfa, Ibadan South West Local Government Area, Ibadan Oyo state

Upon his return from Britain having completed his course in Civil Engineering, he founded Mokoga Engineering a design and fabrication company and Kofoworola group of schools , oremeji Agugu.

Baba Amao who served as chairman Water corporation of Oyo State and one of the mediator on the popular yoruba program in the 80s “Soo da bee ” a family matter, land disputes and general mediation programme on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) as an elderstatesman . For the weekly program he was given a sobriquet” baba so daa bee in d 80s and 90 s”.

He’s survived by wives , Many children , grand children, great grand children, In-laws and relatives.

His remains had since been deposited at the morgue till the final interment coming up on 15th and 16th of November,2024 the family said
