Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday, has pledged to restructure the country, giving way to autonomy of states if he is elected as President of the country come February 25, 2023 election.
This is coming just as Atiku also tasked the residents of Oyo states to ensure PDP’s victory at the coming election, so that they can enjoy the benefits coming with his government.
Atiku made the pledge while addressing a mammoth crowd of PDP members and supporters when his campaign train birthed at Mapo Hill in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
He said,
“Now this region of the South West has been known to agitate for restructuring, by this we mean giving more power and autonomy to the states. Now, it is one the pillars of our programs, we will do this so that you can develop your states.”
While also giving the voters more reasons to vote, Atiku also promised to make sure that he redefines the educational system of the country, as he will make sure he ends incessant strike in Nigeria.
He said further,
“We are also committed that there are no more strikes in our universities, we’ll refine our universities and pay our teachers.”
“We also promise industrialization which shall be supported by the federal government. There are five major commitments we are making, the unity, we must make sure that there is inclusion of every part in our government, we will also make sure there is security so that there will be law and order.”
