The Ashipa of Ogbomosoland, Sir Olusegun Adekunle, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his message, he expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting believers the strength and grace to complete the fasting period, while praying that all acts of worship and supplications offered during Ramadan are accepted.

Sir Adekunle, described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual renewal, emphasizing that the ultimate goal of fasting is the attainment of taqwa a heightened consciousness of God that inspires discipline, self-restraint, and a commitment to righteousness. He noted that the lessons of Ramadan extend beyond abstaining from food, encouraging compassion, generosity, and moral uprightness.

The legal luminary also highlighted the significance of the rare convergence of fasting periods among different faiths, describing it as a powerful reminder of shared values such as sacrifice, reflection, and devotion to God. He urged Nigerians to leverage this alignment to foster unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
