Arapaja Eulogises Nigerians for Their Resilience in the Face of Bad Governance

The Deputy National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has eulogised the youths all over the country for their resilience, hardworking and courage despite the hard times and difficulties inflicted on them by the APC administration under President Muhammadu Buhari in the last six and half years.

Ambassador Arapaja stated this while speaking as the Chairman of the occasion at the launching of albums produced by the Fortunate Band titled: Lift me up and GSM Effect: which was held at NUP Event Hall, Pensioners FM, Agbarigo, Onireke, Ibadan yesterday.

Ambassador Arapaja, who was represented at the event by the Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, disclosed that contrary to President Muhammadu Buhari’s description of Nigeria youths as lazy sometimes in 2018, the youths have continued to prove themselves as hardworking in whatever vocation they found themselves.

According to him, “to me, the Nigeria youths have proven to be one of the most industrious set of individuals and this is evident in what we are doing here today with the launching of these two albums composed by a talented musician, Ambassador Saheed Ajao Adewale (Sedorado). He is one of the youths who has used his God-given talents meaningfully to compose and release albums. He has done this in company of members of his band who ordinarily could have engaged in other nefarious activities that could ruin their lives.

President Muhammadu Buhari should be blamed for failure to provide good governance that would have given opportunities for the youth population across the country to be gainfully engaged and use their talents for positive things. His government in its almost seven years in office, contributed nothing towards providing opportunities for our aspiring youths. These youths, when given opportunities in other countries of the world, are known to have excelled in various fields of endeavour.

The youths that are engaging in yahoo yahoo, kidnapping, banditry and so on are products of bad governance under the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration. “ He submitted.

Ambassador Arapaja who commended the leader of the band, Ambassador Saheed Ajao Adewale (Sedorado) for putting together the album titled :GSM Effect to enlighten the public about the good governance and dramatic turn around the Oyo State has witnessed under the God-sent administration of Engr Seyi Abiodun Makinde, however, called on other youth to take a cue from him by investing in any vocation that will uplift their environment and the society at large.

He equally appreciated the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi makinde for being a youth-friendly Governor, stressing that the youths occupy a larger percentage of elected and appointed positions under Governor Makinde’s administration in the State which is unprecedented in the history of government administration in the State.

The launching ceremony was graced by eminent personalities in the State and beyond.
