The Pathfinders leadership group has eulogized the deputy governor of Ondo state, Dr Olayide Adelami, for his contributions to the development of Owo kingdom and its people.
Convener of the group, Bolu Akadri, made the statement in Owo on Saturday, at a grand reception in honor of Adelami, over his appointment as deputy governor of Ondo state.
Akadiri in a statement signed by spokesperson to Ondo State Deputy Governor, John Paul Akinduro described Adelami as a leader who has served without blemish and one who used his office to better the lives of the people.
“We are indeed proud to identify with you and your numerous people-oriented programmes that have positive impacts in the lives of the masses. The Owo people can never forget your invaluable interventions in the kingdom” Akadri said.
Chairman of the occasion, Chief Jamiu Ekungba, applauded the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for appointing Adelami as his deputy. He described the deputy governor as a man who is loved across political tendencies in Owo, in particular and Ondo state in general.
Ekungba called on all and sundry to support the governor in his drive to develop the state and repay him with votes in the November 2024 governorship election in the state.
In his lecture titled, ‘Owo beyond 2025’, Toyyib Musa-Omolaja raised some fundamental issues regarding the future of Owo kingdom in the areas of industrialization, politics and youth development, among others.
At the occasion, Adelami was decorated as grand patron of the Pathfinders Leadership Group.
Reacting, the deputy governor appreciated the organisers for the honour and for promoting the collective interest of Owo people at all times. He announced a colloquium, at a later date, where all issues raised by Musa-Omolaja will be criticality looked into.
Adelami called on all card-carrying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to bring out their membership cards and cast their votes for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the April 20 APC governorship primary election in the state.
